Overview on Breeding
How do I breed?:
During Breeding Season you use a Male and a Female racer, give them a nest, any extra items you wish to use --Check out the Items Page to see what breeding items there are.
Females can Breed Twice, while Males only once.
A female can lay up to two clutches in a season, and the male is the one who stays to take care of a nest.
So choose wisely who you want to breed your males to, they get one shot before they're stuck on daddy duty!
What Can I expect from the Breeding?:
General:
At least one egg of course!
A Nest, of any type can give a Clutch of 1-4 Eggs.
40% 1 Egg
30% 2 Eggs
20% 3 Eggs
10% 4 Eggs
Random will be used to decide how many eggs will be in your clutch
Mutations:
You can also "expect" a Chance at a mutation.
Mutations have a 10% Chance of randomly appearing
If you succeed in getting a Mutation Another set of odds will decide what type of Mutation.
Please see the Mutations page for more information on the mutations that can pass.
If you've been lucky to get a Racer with a mutation, and you breed that Racer, you have a 50% chance of that mutation passing on. That egg still gets the normal 10% chance of a New Mutation, So if you get a really lucky roll, your egg could have the passed on mutation, and a completely new Mutation.
Please Note: If you breed a Double Mutation (with two Commons) With Say, Cat eye, and No Tail Fluff. Lets say both of those Mutations pass and a Mutation is passed in that 10%, and it then rolls a Common, there is only No Tail Fluff and other eye mutations. The No Tail Fluff with automatically pass and a eye mutation will be rolled, If it's the same as your parent dragon all ready had, it will get that Mutation as a "Double-Pass"
What a Double-Pass is a baby that got a mutation from a parent, and from a mutation roll, will appear as any other with that mutation, but something strange happens in Double-Pass baby's, they can not pass on that mutation any longer. So be careful when breeding your dragons!
